Community Day West Vincent 2005

   On Saturday May 14, 2005 Ridge Fire Company attended West Vincent Township’s Community Day at the West Vincent Twp building at the corner of St. Matthews Rd and Rt. 401. Ridge Fire Co was also accompanied by Ludwigs Corner Fire Co. (Station 73) and Kimberton Fire Co. (Station 61) at the event. All three companies serve portions of West Vincent Twp. Engine 62-2 and Brush 62 attended along with Station 73’s Brush, Engine, and Rescue trucks along with Stations 61’s Tower, Squad, and Command unit. There was plenty of stuff to do and see at the park. There was also and antique Autocar Fire Engine on show from the Birchrunville Station 62 ½. Members spent the day showing and explaining to the community the different Fire Apparatus on hand at the event and also giving away fire prevention material to the children. Kimberton also brought their interactive Sparky the Fire Dog Robot to the Park to push fire safety with the children. By 1500 Hrs all 62 units cleared and returned to the station. We like to thank West Vincent Twp for the invite to the event.
