Ridge Fire Company - Drill - Multi-Company Search & Rescue, Venting, and more - 7/1/2009

  On Wednesday July 1st, 2009 Kimberton, Station 61, the three Phoenixville fire companies, Stations 65, 66, & 67, Valley Forge, Station 68, and Ridge Fire Company, Station 62 got together to practice Search & Rescue, Venting, Overhaul, Looking for fire extensions, and more. There were two houses and a large garage that were about to be torn down along Route 724 in Phoenixville. Before this happened, on Thursday July 2nd, 2009, these 6 fire companies got to use the houses for practice. It allowed firefighters, who may never have vented a roof or torn down a sheet rock ceiling, to practice this and become familiar with tools and techniques. It also let firefighters from several companies get a chance to work with members of other, mutual assist, companies.
