Mobile Home Fire 04/03/2011

  On Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 1812Hrs the Chester County Fire Board alerted the Twin Valley FD (Station 69), the Ridge Fire Co (Station 62), Goodwill Ambulance (MontCo 329) covering for Elverson EMS (Station 89) for a mobile home fire along Sunrise Dr off of Rt. 23 and Rock Run Rd in Warwick Twp. An alert neighbor spotted the potential fire in the kitchen area and reported it. Chief 69 reported a working fire upon his arrival and requested the Working Fire Dispatch (WFD) bringing Norco Fire Co (Station 64) and Ludwigs Corner Fire Co (Station 73) for their tankers. Engine 69-2 and Engine 62-1 arrived on scene and stretched two CAFS lines from Eng 69-2 and a CAFS Bumper Line from Eng 62-1. Engine 69-5 and 62-5 arrived behind 62-1 and provided water supply operations. Crews made a quick knock down on the fire and began extensive overhaul to open up the mobile home and extinguish the remaining hot spots. Command 69 placed the fire under control at 1834hrs. The Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office and PA State Police were on scene to investigate the cause of the fire. 62 fire apparatus were released by command and went available at 1921Hrs.
