Just after 9AM, Station 62, Engine and Tower 61 (Kimberton), and MICU 83-4 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the unit block of TraberLane in East Vincent for a building fire. East Vincent Police along with Chief 62 arrived on the scene with light smoke showing from the roof area, requesting Engine 62-1 deploy a hand-line upon arrival. Assistant 62 arrived and established command. Engine 62-1 and Chief 62 found the seat of the fire in a second floor crawl space quickly extinguishing the fire. Engine 62-5 arrived and assisted with overhaul in the crawl space while Tower 61 checked the roof area for extension and assisted the crew of Engine 62-5 with overhaul. Traffic 62 detoured traffic around the scene so crews were able to safely operate. This fire is currently under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office. Crews were in service for just under an hour.
