New Engine 62-5 Delivered Home!

Today the Ridge Members got to welcome home our new Pumper Tanker, Engine 62-5, ready for service!
While this isn’t the first time the New Engine 62-5 has been around the station. You may have seen on Thanksgiving when teased a picture of the new truck on Facebook as part of our Thanksgiving Wishes. 2025 Wraps Up with a Boat Fire
Ridge Fire Company, January 01
Just after 10pm , Station 62 was called to the 200 block of Linfield Road for a possible vehicle fire. Chief 62 arrived to find a trash fire containing a boat. Engine 62-2 and Engine 62-1 arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. 62 Fire Police controlled traffic around the area.

Brush Fire in East Vincent
Ridge Fire Company, December 31
Just before 12pm , Station 62 was dispatched to the 200 block of Bertolet School Road for a brush fire. 62 Chief Officers arrived to find an approximately 15x40 area of brush burning. Brush 62 and Engine 62-2 arrived and placed several booster lines in service for fire extinguishment. Assist to Station 65 Followed by Brush Fire

Just after 8am , Engine 62-1 along with other assisting units was dispatched to the 100 block of Starr Street to assist Station 65 (Phoenixville) on a working building fire. Engine 62-1 arrived and reported to staging shortly before being released by command to cover Station 65’s area. Crews returned back to the station at approximately 9:30.

Ridge Fire Company , December 23
Just before 7pm , Station 62, Tower 61 (Kimberton), and MICU 83-2(Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Andrea Lane for a chimney fire. Engine 62-1, 62-2, and Rescue 62 responded quickly as this was just before our weekly drill. 62 Chief Officers arrived on the scene and confirmed an active chimney fire. Just after 8am , Station 62 along with Ambulance 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of Bethel Church Road and Ellis Woods Road for an auto accident. Chief 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with no injuries, Ambulance 84-2 went available. Rescue 62 and Utility 62-2 assisted with debris removal. Just after 6am , Station 62, Station 61 (Kimberton), and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Brownback Church Road for a building fire reported to be in the chimney. 62 Chief Officers arrived on scene with smoke showing from the chimney. Early Morning Electrical Fire

Just before 4am , Station 62 was dispatched to the 300 block of Crest Road for an possible electrical fire inside. 62 Chief Officers along with Engine 62-1 and Rescue 62 arrived and determined the source of the fire to be a battery pack.
