Brush Fire in East Vincent Township

At approximately 2:30 this morning , Station 62 was dispatched to the 200 block of Nottingham Drive for a reported brush fire . Chief 62 responded and arrived to find a 60x90 section of woods behind several houses on fire. Brush 62 set up in the driveway of one house , stretched both lines and began to knock down the fire . This past week Firefighter Evan Colegrove and Andrew Worobetz received their PA Essentials of Firefighting certification after completing their live burn practical evaluation certifying them as interior firefighters.

Just before 5pm this afternoon , Ridge Fire Company was called to set up a Landing Zone in the parking lot of Station 62 for a victim involved in a motor vehicle accident in the area. East Vincent Elementary Spring Fling

On Friday April 23rd, four members of Ridge Fire/Rescue Company brought our first out engine, 62-1, to the East Vincent Elementary Spring Fling for "kids" of all ages to get to see, touch, & sit in. We handed out fun and informative coloring books, pencils, pencil toppers, and answered questions about Fires & Rescues.

At 12:30 this afternoon Chester County Communications alerted Station 62 for a vehicle fire at the Kadima Nursing Home on Chestnut Hill Rd in South Coventry Twp. Chief 62 responded immediately and was advised of a Jeep in the parking lot with flames from the engine compartment and exposure to other vehicles. Accident with Fire In South Coventry

Just before 4PM , Station 62 along with MICU 83 (Royersford EMS), MICU 87, Intermediate 87 (Uwchlan Ambulance Corps), and MICU 67 (West End EMS of Phoenixville were dispatched to a report of an auto accident with injuries as well as a vehicle on fire in the area of Route 100 and Route 23.
