Crews Continue to Keep Busy
Ridge Fire Company, January 27
Just before 5:30pm, Station 62, Station 15(Chester County Hazardous Materials Response Team), and Medic 329-28 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Woodmont Drive in South Coventry for a Hazardous Materials Incident, reported to be a large propane tank which had sustained a leak after being struck by a snowplow. Engine Assist to Upper Providence Township

Just after 10pm, Engine 62-1 was dispatched to the 1000 block of Collegeville Avenue in Upper Providence Township Montgomery County to assist crews already battling a fire in a barn. Just after 1pm, Station 62, Montgomery County Station 51 (Limerick) for the Engine and Ladder, and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 1100 block of Kulp Road for a shed fire. Deputy 62 arrived on scene with a fully involved shed with an exposure. Engine 62-2 arrived and placed two lines in service for fire suppression. Snowstorm Keeps Ridge Volunteers Busy

Crews were kept busy running several calls during the major winter storm and cold that gripped most of the country. The first call came in at approximately 12:45pm when Station 62 and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the 200 block of Penn Drive in East Vincent for an odor of gas inside. Accident on Bethel Church Road

Just before 8pm , Station 62 and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the area of Bethel Church Road and Concetta Drive for an auto accident. Chief 62 arrived to find a vehicle they had struck a pole. Today the Ridge Members got to welcome home our new Pumper Tanker, Engine 62-5, ready for service!
While this isn’t the first time the New Engine 62-5 has been around the station. You may have seen on Thanksgiving when teased a picture of the new truck on Facebook as part of our Thanksgiving Wishes. 2025 Wraps Up with a Boat Fire

Just after 10pm , Station 62 was called to the 200 block of Linfield Road for a possible vehicle fire. Chief 62 arrived to find a trash fire containing a boat. Engine 62-2 and Engine 62-1 arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. 62 Fire Police controlled traffic around the area.

Brush Fire in East Vincent

Just before 12pm , Station 62 was dispatched to the 200 block of Bertolet School Road for a brush fire. 62 Chief Officers arrived to find an approximately 15x40 area of brush burning. Brush 62 and Engine 62-2 arrived and placed several booster lines in service for fire extinguishment.
