Cab Meets Chassis for New Pumper Tanker

Over the past few weeks the new Engine 62-5 has been making great progress out in Appleton, WI at the Pierce Mfg plants. The Cab has been outfitted with the majority of its interior and switches, The Pump House has been painted and trimmed with diamond plate. With the Cab and Pump House getting mounted to the Chassis. Ridge Fire Company is responsible for Ellis Woods Road between Bethel Church Road and Ridge Road as well as Sheeder Road. Assist to Station 65 Followed by Cover Up

Just before 2:30pm , Engine 62-1 along with other mutual aid units were dispatched to assist Station 65 (Phoenixville) on a working house fire on the 300 block of Hall Street. Upon arrival, units operating on the scene had brought the fire under control and Engine 62-1 was redirected to Station 65 for the cover up assignment with Montgomery County Station 53 (Lower Providence). Severe Weather Keeps Ridge Volunteers on the Move

Just before 5:30pm a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area , prompting numerous calls for service. Station 62 was alerted to the 1200 block of Laurelwood Road to assist Station 64 (Norco) on a reported house fire. Tuesday Night Drill

This evening to beat the heat for our weekly drill , members took Engine 62-1, Engine 62-5, Rescue 62, and Brush 62 down to Cooks Glen Road to practice our drafting skills. When drafting , we utilize a local water source to supply the engine and this is used in an area that may not be equipped with fire hydrants. Morning Accident and Evening Storm Cause Traffic Issues

Just before 11am on Thursday June 19th Station 62 and MICU 84 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to Rt 100 in the area of Pigeon Creek Road in South Coventry Twp for an Auto Accident. Chief 62 went enroute and was advised it was reported to be a total of 4 vehicles blocking including a dump truck and a rollback truck.
