Back to Back Accidents in East Vincent

Just before 6:30pm Station 62 and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the area of Stony Run Road and Percheron Drive for an accident with possible entrapment. Yesterday Station 62 Fire Police were called to assist in downtown Pottstown, closing down High Street westbound at Hanover Street. Ridge Fire Police assisted with many other neighboring Fire Police while crews worked a block down on High Street, west of Hanover Street on an underground fire and gas leak of a nearby service line. Just before 5:30pm, Station 62, Station 15(Chester County Hazardous Materials Response Team), and Medic 329-28 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Woodmont Drive in South Coventry for a Hazardous Materials Incident, reported to be a large propane tank which had sustained a leak after being struck by a snowplow. Just after 10pm, Engine 62-1 was dispatched to the 1000 block of Collegeville Avenue in Upper Providence Township Montgomery County to assist crews already battling a fire in a barn. Just after 1pm, Station 62, Montgomery County Station 51 (Limerick) for the Engine and Ladder, and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 1100 block of Kulp Road for a shed fire. Crews were kept busy running several calls during the major winter storm and cold that gripped most of the country. The first call came in at approximately 12:45pm when Station 62 and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the 200 block of Penn Drive in East Vincent for an odor of gas inside.
