Mobile Homes on Fire on Alackness Road

Just before 5:30 am this morning, Ridge Fire Company, Station 63 (Liberty Fire Company), MICU 83 (Friendship Ambulance of Royersford) along with East Coventry and East Vincent Police were alerted to a house fire on the 100 block of Alackness Road. As Chief 62 went responding, Chester County Fireboard advised that they were receiving multiple calls for a house fire and several explosions in the area. Chief 62 arrived with two mobile homes fully involved in the rear of the property. Montgomery County Tanker 51 was requested to respond on the assignment. Engine 62-1 arrived , stretched several handlines and began to put a knock on the fire. Quint 63 assisted with fire suppression as well as overhaul. Engine 62-5 arrived, supplied Engine 62-1 and the crew assisted with overhaul. Rescue 62 made the response as well and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. The fire was quickly placed under control, crews performed extensive overhaul. 62 Fire Police and Traffic 63 closed off Alackness Road during the incident. The company was in service for about two hours before returning to station. Thank you to Station 64 (NORCO Fire Company) for covering our district. While covering our district, Engine 64-5 responded to a malfunctioning elevator alarm at Bucktown Crossing.
