Just before 6am Station 62 was dispatched to assist Station 73 (Ludwig’s Corner) for a reported house fire on the 2400 block of Flowing Springs Road in West Vincent Township. Battalion 47 (Lionville) arrived on the scene and confirmed a working house fire and asked for a first alarm tanker task force. Engine 62-5 arrived and laid 750 feet of supply line from the end of the driveway to the scene and quickly utilized handlines and the deck gun to knock down the fire on the third floor. Engine 73-1 followed up the driveway and area crews began an interior attack. Crews brought the fire under control within an hour and remained on scene until about 8am before returning to the station.
