Just before 12:30am , Station 62 along with Station 64 (Norco), Montgomery County Station 51(Limerick), and Goodwill EMS (M329) were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Summer Lane for a building fire. Initial reports indicated that a fire had started on the outside of the building and residents were working to evacuate the building. Assistant 62 arrived and found smoke showing from the rear, with the bulk of the fire knocked down. Engine 64-5 arrived and pulled a hand-line and began checking the area for extension. Engine 62-1 and Engine 62-5 arrived and assisted with checking for extension in the surrounding appartments. Tower 51's Crew used the main aerial to ladder the building and check the roof and attic areas for any heat signatures. Ladder 51's crew utilized ground ladders and assisted the 62/64 crews with removing siding around the fire area confirming no further extension.

Command worked with building maintenance to make sure the damaged areas were secured and the affected residents had accomodations.

Chester County Fire Marshals performed the investigation
