Just before 7pm , Station 62, Tower 61 (Kimberton), and MICU 83-2(Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Andrea Lane for a chimney fire. Engine 62-1, 62-2, and Rescue 62 responded quickly as this was just before our weekly drill. 62 Chief Officers arrived on the scene and confirmed an active chimney fire. Crews immediately utilized portable ladders and our chimney tools to quickly extinguish the fire. Tower 61 arrived and placed the tower in service to assist with extinguishing the fire and overhaul. Utility 62-1 also responded. 62 Fire Police directed traffic around the sceneCrews were in service for about an hour before returning to the station.
