Back to Back Accidents in East Vincent

Just before 6:30pm Station 62 and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the area of Stony Run Road and Percheron Drive for an accident with possible entrapment. Assistant 62 arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one vehicle into the woods with no entrapment. Rescue 62 and Engine 62-2 arrived and provided lighting before clearing the assignment. 62 fire police assisted with traffic control. Crews returned to service in just under 30 minutes.

Around 8pm , Station 62 and MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) were dispatched to the area of Route 23 and Sheeder Road for an accident with injuries. As units were responding the assignment was upgraded to a possible accident with entrapment. Captain 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with two patients trapped. MICU 84-2 (Goodwill) was added to the assignment. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly began extrication. Chief 62 arrived and established command. 62 Fire police shut down traffic around the accident. Engine 62-2 and Utility 62-1 arrived and assisted with extrication and hazard control. EMS transported the patients to an area trauma center for treatment. Crews remained on scene and assisted with cleanup. All units were in service for about an hour before returning to the station.
