| Just after 3pm , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 900 block of Ridge Road for an accident with entrapment, reported to be a vehicle on its side. Chief 62 arrived and after surveying the area, located a two vehicle accident with confirmed entrapment on the Cadmus Road driveway of the OJR Campus. MICU 83-2 (Friendship EMS) was added to the assignment for a second patient. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly began stabilization and extrication. Engine 62-1 assisted with extrication and controlling hazards. The occupants of both vehicles were evaluated by EMS. 62 Fire Police controlled traffic around the scene with the assistance of OJR Police/Security Dept. Crews operated for about an hour. While on scene Station 62 was dispatched to a building fire upgrade in Station 63’s (Liberty) district on the Unit Block of Veterans Drive in East Vincent. Engine 62-1 remained on the scene while Rescue 62 responded to the building fire, which was quickly scaled back by 63 units. Station 62 returned to service just before 4pm. |
