Accident with Fire In South Coventry

Just before 4PM , Station 62 along with MICU 83 (Royersford EMS), MICU 87, Intermediate 87 (Uwchlan Ambulance Corps), and MICU 67 (West End EMS of Phoenixville were dispatched to a report of an auto accident with injuries as well as a vehicle on fire in the area of Route 100 and Route 23. Chief 62 arrived with a work truck that had rolled over several times with multiple injured occupants. Thanks to a Pottstown Firefighter in the area , the fire was kept in check with the use of a fire extinguisher. Upon arrival , Rescue 62 and Engine 62-1 assisted with clearing the roadway of debris and hazards. Additionally Rescue 62 pulled a precautionary hand line. Traffic 62 and Utility 62 along with several fire police shut the roadway down allowing crews to safely operate and Pennsylvania State Police to investigate. All injured occupants were transported to area hospitals. The company was in service for just over an hour.
