On Friday, June 24th at 1822hrs Chester County Communications alerted Ridge Fire Co (Station 62) and Friendship Ambulance of Royersford (MICU 83) for an auto accident at W. Bridge St and Stony Run Rd in East Vincent Twp. Chief 62 was initially advised of 2 vehicles blocking with unknown injuries. Supplemental information indicated that there was at least one injury along possible smoke from one of the vehicles due to the air bags. Police arrived on scene and requested Fire Police to shut down W. Bridge St. Chief and Assistant 62 arrived on scene and established command. Rescue 62 arrived and began assisting EMS with patient care to prepare for transport along with fluid control from the damaged vehicles. A second MICU from Friendship (Montco MICU 325) was requested for an additional patient and staffing to assess the remain parties involved for injuries. PECO Energy was notified to address a damaged pole from the accident. EMS transported 2 patients to an area trauma center with all other parties signing off on further treatment. Fire and Police personnel worked over the next hour to clear the scene of a large debris field and two heavily damaged vehicles. The roadway was reopened, and all units cleared by 1942hrs.
