Friday Morning Accident in West Vincent

On Friday Morning at 0911hrs Chester County Communications alerted Ridge Fire Co (Station 62) and Uwchlan Ambulance (AMB 87-1) to Pottstown Pike (Rt 100) and Flowing Springs Rd in South Coventry Twp for an auto accident. Responding units were advised that the caller reported a vehicle into a fence. Additional calls were then received advising that the correct location was in the 2000 block of Pottstown Pike. AMB 87-1 and Chief 62 arrived on scene followed by Rescue 62 and Engine 62-1 and confirmed the location was in West Vincent Twp. This placed the incident within the response district of Ludwigs Corner Fire Co. (Station 73). Chester County had notified a 73 Chief Officer and the incident was left to 62 units to handle. Personnel on scene found that an SUV towing a boat had left the roadway taking out several sections of fence while displacing several large rocks and colliding with a parked SUV on the opposite side of the property. EMS evaluated the driver of the SUV who refused treatment. Fire Police provided traffic control past the scene with the Rescue and Chief remaining on location until PD arrived.

Rescue 62 and Chief 62 cleared the scene at 0947hrs with Traffic 62 and 62 Fire police remaining on scene assisting the police until 1104hrs.
