Propane Leak and Auto Accident

Just before 10pm this evening , Station 62 was dispatched to the Unit Bloc of Harley Road in East Coventry Township for a vehicle leaking propane. Chief 62 arrived and discovered an RV leaking propane from a large tank installed internally on the vehicle. Engine 62-1 and Rescue 62 responded along with Deputy 62 and worked for several hours to secure the leak. At around 11pm while still on the propane leak , Station 62 along with MICU 84-1 (Goodwill)was alerted to respond to the area of Route 100 and Pughtown Road for an auto accident with injuries. Rescue 62 and Deputy 62 responded from the scene and arrived with a two vehicle accident. The crew from MICU 84-1 evaluated the occupants of the vehicle , while the crew from Rescue 62 controlled roadway hazards. Fire police deployed cones and flares while controlling traffic flow, allowing crews to work on the roadway safely. Station 62 crews were back in the station just after midnight.
