Engine 62-1

Engine 62-1 is a 2009 Pierce six-man Arrow XT PUC Pumper-Rescue, with a 1500 GPM pump, 750 Gallons of water, 50 gallons of class A foam, and a Harrison 10Kw Hydraulic generator. The pump is equipped with a Husky Foam system and a Hercules CAFS system. The truck carries 5 MSA SCBAs, Cutters Edge and Stihl Rescue Chainsaws, a 14” Stihl Cut-Off Saw. For scene lighting there are (4) 500w Tri-pod Lights, a 3000-Watt Night Scan Light Tower, and (6) 900-Watt Scene Lights. The engine is equipped with a PPV and electric exhaust ventilation fans. A Lukas/Centaur Portable Rescue Tool System (Lg. Spreader, “O” Cutter, & Ram), AED, BLS, & Oxygen bags are stored for rescue and medical assists. 62-1 is also equipped with a MSA 4 gas meter, Bullard T4 thermal imaging camera, as well as a various assortment of hand tools, salvage buckets and tarps. Engine 62-1’s fire attack is comprised of a 19” extended front bumper with (2) 150’ 1.5” pre-connected Attack Lines, (3) pre-connected 1.5” Cross lays consisting of 200’, 250’, & 300’, and a pre-connected 200’ 2.5” Attack Line with a 500gpm Akron Mercury Gun. The truck carries 900ft of 5” supply hose, 500ft of 3” supply hose. Engine 62-1 is equipped with a 24’ Extension Ladder, 14’ Roof Ladder, 10’ Attic Ladder, and a 13’ Little Giant folding ladder.

Engine 62-2 responded to its official first call on March 11th assisting Kimberton Fire Co on a fire alarm in East Vincent Twp. Its first call within the 62 local was on March 14th for a brush fire in East Coventry Twp. 

Engine 62-2 is setup to serve the community in many capacities. In addition to the full complement of engine company equipment and hose the truck is equipped with a set of Holmatro rescue tools for responding to vehicle accidents along with brush fire tools/equipment as Engine 62-2 is our second out truck on brush fire calls and first out apparatus during wintry weather.

   

Engine 62-5

Engine 62-5 is a 2002 American LaFrance pumper tanker.  It is equipped with a 2250 Gallon Per Minute pump and a 3576-gallon water tank, which is a "small swimming pool".  This pumper tanker replaced the Tanker 62. Not only does this truck carry a lot of water, but it is also fully equipped to fight fires. There is room for the driver/engineer, officer, and four (4) crew.

Brush 62

Brush 62 as a 1997 Ford F-350 Single Cab 4x4 Pickup Truck modified by the New Lexington Body Company. The truck features a Briggs and Stratton skid mount 200 GPM pump and 200 Gallon tank. In addition to two preconnected 200ft 1" forestry handlines the truck features a 200ft booster reel for quick attacks on fires. A Warn 9,000lb electric winch is mounted to a front receiver hitch below the front bumper and numerous portable Indian Tanks are mounted to each side of the 8ft bed. A center toolbox contains all forestry hand tools and safety equipment.

Brush 62 responds on mostly all brush and field fires dispatched for the company and can be also utilized for four-wheel drives assists during bad weather.

   

Squad 62

Squad 62 is a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 4x4 Suburban.  This vehicle is mainly used to get manpower to the scene of an accident or fire.   It is equipped with a defibrillator, GPS, traffic cones, and other safety materials. It goes out, aside for manpower transportation, to "Lift Assists" and possible "Heart Attacks".   As many of the ambulances in the area only have two personnel on board, if they need extra help lifting, driving, etc., they ask for the Fire Company to be dispatched to assist.  

Due to the number of motor vehicle accidents in the area the 3rd row of seats has been removed and a slide out shelf put in with extrication equipment.
