Just after 12:30 PM, Station 62 along with Medic 329-8 (Goodwill) was dispatched to the area of Pottstown Pike (Route 100) and Pughtown Road for an auto accident. Chief 62 arrived to find a two vehicle accident as well as a telephone pole that was split and down across Route 100. Rescue 62 arrived and assisted with hazard control. 62 Fire Police, Utility 62-1, and Pennsylvania State Police shut down Route 100 until PECO arrived to secure the pole and electrical hazards. Medic 329-8 (Goodwill) arrived and evaluated the vehicle occupants. Station 62 operated on the scene for just over an hour.
