Just after 10pm, Station 62, Station 64 (Norco), and MICU 84-2 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 1800 block of Pottstown Pike (Route 100) for a possible garage fire. 62 chief officers responded and began to survey the area. Upon finding the fire , Deputy 62 established Route 100 command and requested the working fire dispatch due to the close proximity of the outbuilding to a fuel truck. The working fire dispatch, brought in Tanker 69 (Twin Valley), Rescue and Tanker 73(Ludwig’s Corner), Chester County Fire Marshals Office and PECO Electric. Engine 62-1 arrived and stretched two bumper lines to extinguish the fire. Engines 64-5 and 62-5 supplied Engine 62-1 while crews worked to extinguish the fire and cool the exposures . Crews brought the fire under control within the first 15 minutes. Route 100 command held the assignment to the 62 and 64 units on scene. Crews completed extensive overhaul. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 hours as the Chester County Fire Marshals Office conducted their investigation.
