| Just before 5:30pm, Station 62, Station 15(Chester County Hazardous Materials Response Team), and Medic 329-28 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Woodmont Drive in South Coventry for a Hazardous Materials Incident, reported to be a large propane tank which had sustained a leak after being struck by a snowplow. Lieutenant 62 arrived first and confirmed an active propane leak. Deputy 62 arrived and established command. Engine 62-1, 62-5, and Utility 62-1 responded and crews utilized gas meters to assess the extent of the leak while crews from Station 15 worked to isolate the leak. The leak was isolated within an hour and crews returned to the station.
Just after 7pm as members of Station 62 were preparing for the weekly drill, the company was dispatched to the 200 block of Root Road in North Coventry Township in Station 64's (Norco) area for a house fire. 64 crews arrived and reported a working house fire with fire through the roof. Engine 62-5 quickly responded and upon arrival assisted 64 crews with fire suppression. Engine 62-1 and Utility 62-1 responded and also assisted with fire suppression. Due to the fire being well advanced, crews operated defensively. After the fire was placed under control, extensive overhaul was performed. Station 62 operated on the scene for several hours before returning to the station.
