Just after 12:30pm , Station 62 along with MICU 84-2 were dispatched to the 2500 block of Pottstown Pike (Route 100) for an accident with entrapment reported to be an overturned dump truck. Chief and Deputy 62 arrived and confirmed the report. Rescue 62 arrived and quickly cut the front windshield to free the driver who was taken to awaiting EMS to be evaluated. 62 Fire police arrived and shut down Pottstown Pike. Station 73 (Ludwig’s Corner) was dispatched for their fire police to assist with traffic control. Hawks Towing arrived and cleaned up the contents of the truck and removed the truck. Pottstown Pike was reopened just after 3:30pm when the cleanup was complete and all crews cleared the scene.
