This past week Firefighter Evan Colegrove and Andrew Worobetz received their PA Essentials of Firefighting certification after completing their live burn practical evaluation certifying them as interior firefighters.

They completed the course along with several other supporting courses and certifications through the Octorara Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy which they attended during their school day each morning in South Coatesville at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus. This great opportunity allows High School students the ability to receive training and certifications in many of the different disciplines of Emergency Services while counting towards their high school graduation. Ridge Fire Co now has a total of 3 active members that completed the Octorara program alongside our active members that complete their certifications through the fire academy classes offered by Chester, Montgomery and Berks Counties.
