Just after 12PM as a cold front was moving through the area accompanied by strong winds and heavy rain, Station 62 was called to the 700 block of Cadmus Road for a report of a tree that came down taking the electrical wires down with it. Chief 62 and Engine 62-2 arrived on the scene with a tree down across the roadway and live wires arcing. Traffic 62 detoured traffic away from Cadmus Road. PECO arrived quickly, secured the power and allowed for crews to remove the tree as they worked to restore power to the area. Engine 62-2 was on scene for just over an hour.
