Just before 6PM Station 62 along with Ambulance 89 (Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS) and MICU 93 (Brandywine Hospital Paramedics) were dispatched to Ridge Road (Route 23) and Old Ridge Road for an accident with entrapment. Deputy 64 arrived with Chief 62 with a pickup truck that had struck a pole and turned over onto its side with the occupant still inside.Assistant 62 established Route 23 command. Rescue 62 and Utility 62 arrived on location and immediately began to stabilize the vehicle and remove the front and rear windshield to access the occupant. Engine 62-1 arrived and assisted with patient removal. Fire police units had route 23 shut down to allow crews to operate safely. The occupant was quickly removed and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
