This Evening Officers and Members traveled to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus in South Coatesville for the Spring 2025 Fire Fighter One Graduation where 21 new cadets received their certs after completing a 200+ Hours Essentials of Fire Fighting course over the past 3 months. Amongst the graduates was Ridge Fire Fighter Carmen Shields who joined the company in mid 2024.

Carmen was joined by her family and fellow fire fighters this evening to recognize their accomplishments, as completing FF1 takes a very large commitment during the evenings and weekends over several months, taking you away from your family and other life events. We thank the Shields Family for their support of Carmen during the past several months. During the ceremony this evening Carmen was surprised with the Class Cadet Award by her instructors.

Carmen's Son, Firefighter Alex Shields, had the honor to present Carmen with her certificate during the ceremony. Alex completed his FF1 Certification in the Spring of 2024.

The Ridge Fire Company wishes to congratulate Carmen and all the graduates on this great achievement and thank them for their time and commitment to help serve their communities.
